The problem

Every acute hospital in the country held its own waiting-list data, in its own shape. There was no single national view to manage against, and a government waiting-list programme needed one.

What was built

Contracted alongside two Big Four firms to combine data from every hospital in the country into a single source for a hospital management analytics system. Owned ingestion, transformation and delivery through to the visual layer, and built the large-scale ingestion covering 26 facilities.

The result

A national waiting-list picture from a fragmented estate - and a parallel historic ETL that meant each newly onboarded hospital went live with its full history rather than starting from zero.

The problem

Project scheduling, finance and operational data sat in disconnected systems, with no information layer the business could report from consistently.

What was built

Built the information layer end to end - ingesting the project scheduling system and Dynamics 365, plus user-driven file ingestion through Power Apps - and designed the KPI and reporting suite in Power BI. Later migrated the live platform from Azure Synapse to Fabric Lakehouse, and built a configuration-driven dynamic dimensional load in PySpark.

The result

One platform the business reports from, on Fabric, where onboarding a new dimension is a configuration change rather than a development cycle.

The problem

Three global products needed a data and SQL workstream taken from backlog through to delivery, in parallel, on a release cadence.

What was built

Led the data and SQL workstream across a strategic transformation platform, its usage analytics product, and its content management studio.

The result

Releases 4 and 5 of the platform, and releases 1 and 2 of both the usage and content management products, delivered.

Azure SQL Database - Power BI

The problem

Multiple business units across nine countries, each with its own ERP data, and no shared warehouse to report across them.

What was built

Deployed the Azure environments end to end - file storage, data warehousing and ETL - designed and implemented the Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and built the ETL integrating ERP data including Dynamics 365. Administered security across storage, warehouse and Power BI.

The result

A single warehouse spanning nine countries, with security administered centrally rather than per business unit.

The problem

Member acquisition and win-back campaigns were running without any measure of whether they worked, on databases held at incompatible granularity.

What was built

Modelled the analysis structures using Kimball methodology, built the ETL in T-SQL, and combined databases held at different granularity into a single fact table supporting daily analysis. Defined new dimensions - ADT band, RFM over time, level over time - and measures including re-gain versus new attrition.

The result

Club, machine and customer reporting that senior management used to decide interventions, and a measure that finally showed whether win-back was working.

Power BI - SQL Server - Azure AD

The problem

A multi-tenant reporting estate over databases holding millions of transactions and hundreds of thousands of tenants' customers, needing production-grade availability and strict data separation.

What was built

Acted as BI and reporting architect, developer, administrator and reporting team coordinator. Designed and built high-availability architectures across Production, DR, UAT and Development, including authentication, multi-tenancy, and folder and row-level security, and integrated Cognos with CA SiteMinder and Identity Manager.

The result

A reporting platform serving multinational teams and customers across Latin America, the Middle East, Europe, the United States and India.
